And another little distraction out of the way!

Hurray! Just finished one of the two Christmas stockings I've been commissioned to make. Ok. "Commissioned" sounds so formal. I was asked. And I said yes.

Then I cried.

No, that last part isn't true. Sure, it's been tricky learning to knit intarsia, but I am very happy to learn new things. Always. So here it is:


The stocking on the left was the sample my sister Kathy sent to me. I'm not sure, but my late mother may have made that one. The stocking on the right is the one I just completed for Kathy's granddaughter, Shea. This sweet little baby will also be getting the angel stocking, when I muster up the courage to complete it. Here is it's current state, if you haven't been following along.

I am impressed by the intarsia knitting, but I am more impressed by how beautiful the stocking itself turned out. Great job!
