Yoga Socks Complete!
Actually should call them Yogurt Socks because I don't really do yoga anymore but DO eat yogurt. Yoga would immensely help my poor body and it's slow functionality....however....well. Nevermind.
Anyhow...very easy pattern to follow but I did have difficulty understanding some of the instructions. I made things up and it all worked out great. Just like my parenting skills! (Although the jury is still out if things are turning out "great").
Also, signed up little Jack for Reading to Rover at our local library yesterday afternoon. There were three different therapy dogs he could've chosen to read to and he chooses the Golden Retriever. In case you don't know, we own a Golden Retriever. He is awesome. But back to therapy: Her name is Holly, and while very cute, her therapeutic method seemed to amount to licking Jack's leg, being scolded, and then laying of the other side of the handler's chair, not at all close to Jack while he read three books to her. I was disappointed, but Jack didn't care. Earlier in the day he asked me how the dogs can help a kid to read. I was all, "Oh, Jack! You'll see! These are therapy dogs and they are trained to, well.......the dog will just help you to read!"
He says, "Does it talk?"
Me: "No! No dog can talk, silly!"
But I did expect more, I think, than the licking! Ah well....
In this photo, Holly is getting ready to tackle the bag of treats held by her angst-ridden handler. Jack is just ready to go check out a Wii game. Priorities, Mom...
And lastly...
